Congress expressed concern over “pics of Indians getting handcuffed & humiliated” while being deported from the US. It recalled how UPA govt retaliated over the handcuffing and strip searching of Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade in 2013. It pointed the US had to express regret over the way she was treated. “Looking at photos of Indians getting handcuffed while being deported saddens me as an Indian,” Pawan Khera said.
